Mozilla and Section 508 Compliance
While working on a Section 508 Compliance project, I realized that Mozilla is "too friendly" to screen reader JAWS. Being Section 508 compliant means that the software must support screen reader for visually-disabled users. If you type a password in Internet Explorer, JAWS reads "star" instead of the actual characters. This of course beats having your password read out when you type it. Unfortunately that is exactly what happens when Mozilla 1.6 is used with JAWS - the password is read out loud for everyone to hear. Luckily I use earphones when I work with JAWS. I mean, I was already annoyed with JAWS' computer synthesized voice, I didn't want to annoy my cube neighbors as well.
