The weekend camping trip in Sierra National Forest was a blast. Since we went by ourselves, we had more freedom on what we wanted to do. No rushes or compromises. We did a bit of hiking, hours of not-exactly-onroad mountain driving (not exactly hardcore off-roading either) with plenty of 45 degree slopes and sharp angles, and 2 hours of boating. The camp fire kept us warm at night, and so did the fancy sleeping bags and sleeping pads. Frosty went crazy swimming in the lakes and running in the unmelted snow which we encountered at roadside high up in the mountains. He was not comfortable while on the boat though. All in all, it was a great camping trip, and the only downside was that many pictures we took turned out dissappointing. Just goes to show that digital camera may mean more pictures but not better ones.
